The August 2020 SDR round will open on 8 August and close on Friday 21 August 2020.
Reminder for your August SDR
Fees Free
Please ensure all your learners reported in your monthly Fees Free All Enrolments and Costs actuals are included in your August 2020 SDR. It is important that Fees Free learners are reported in both the monthly Fees Free All Enrolments and Costs actuals and August 2020 SDR.
Managed Apprenticeship Flag
Please ensure you identify and code Managed Apprenticeship enrolments correctly in your course enrolment file for the August 2020 SDR. Each course enrolment in a Managed Apprenticeship programme should be flagged.
Training Scheme and Micro-credential Qualification Award Category
Please ensure you code your Training Scheme and Micro-credential with the new Qualification Award Category in Services for Tertiary Education Organisations (STEO) website.
The new QACs are below:

Changes for the August 2020 SDR
Updates to SDR Manual
The Ministry of Education (MoE) and Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) have released an updated version of the SDR manual. This is available on the Education Services website and we suggest you read through the changes prior to submitting your SDR.
Important changes to the December 2020 SDR
Below are changes that will be applied to the December 2020 SDR. Further details on these changes will be communicated from September.
Managed Apprenticeship
MoE announced a new definition for Managed Apprenticeship on 29 June 2020. Changes to STEO system, validation including updated error conditions will take effect from the December 2020 submission round.
The SDR Manual 2020 ‘summary of changes for 2020’ page details the new definition for Managed Apprenticeship.
Ethnicity Group change
The ethnicity group ‘Pasifika Group’ will change to ‘Pacific People’ from the December SDR.
