Here’s what you need to know to submit your Indicative Data Collection (IND).

What is the IND?

The IND is a set of data items that are specifically required by the Ministry of Education to give early indicators of demand shifts and trends that may impact Vote management and policy. The results of the collection will be used to determine trends and for statistical models that facilitate prediction of full-year outcomes. Provider funding is not affected.

Who needs to submit IND?

All TEOs that submit an SDR are required to submit an IND.

What information is needed?

All enrolments, whether or not they have started by the specified date (including current and future enrolments), that are made in a TEO’s student management system must be reported, regardless of the level of study or the funding source.

A table of files to submit for the IND, file names, and a link to example CSV files is provided at SDR and IND resources.
