Resources for your SDR submission

The Data Specification for the SDR is available from SDR resources.

It includes details of new or changed data requirements and validation rules.

To monitor your enrolments against some of the funding conditions for Youth Guarantee and Delivery at Levels 1 and 2 on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (DQ1-2), check out the Funding Conditions app at Ngā Kete.

New data requirements for your SDR submission

New data requirements are detailed in Appendix B of the Data Specification for the SDR v1.01. See the SDR resources

Most new data requirements are optional for the April 2025 SDR – we will accept a blank field. Validation rules for mandatory fields will be implemented for the August 2025 SDR.

For Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) providers, the new Consortium field is mandatory for the April 2025 SDR. The codes can be found in the DXP Data Classification at SDR resources.

Learner IR number

The learner IR number is not in the Data Specification for the SDR v1.01 and is not required for the April 2025 SDR. If it is included in your data submission, your file will produce an error on upload.

An updated version of the Data Specification for the SDR will be published in May 2025 (after the April 2025 SDR is completed) to include the requirement for the learner IR number. The learner IR number will be required for the first time in the August 2025 SDR.
