This page contains information about the new DXP Ngā Kete roles for the Data System Refresh Programme.

Five new DXP Ngā Kete roles will be available through the Education Sector Login (ESL) by 1 May 2024. The roles will be added to users' ESL profiles based on their existing access to Tertiary Education applications. There will be no change to user access to existing TEC applications.

For more information about the ESL, see Education Sector Logon | Applications & Online Systems – Ministry of Education.

What are the changes and when do they start?

Tertiary education organisations (TEOs) will begin to use DXP Ngā Kete from 1 June 2024. The roles you will need to access DXP Ngā Kete will be added to your existing ESL profile in mid-May 2024. This allows time to log in and check your contact details before you begin to use DXP Ngā Kete.

For more information about the transition dates and deadlines and how they may impact you, see Transitioning to DXP Ngā Kete.

We held a webinar on 28 March to explain the new roles and mapping to existing ESL profiles, and to answer questions. A recording of the Roles and Access webinar is provided at the bottom of this page.

DXP Ngā Kete roles will be added to existing users based on this mapping:

This role allows the user to view and edit user settings for all users in a TEO including the user email notification preferences. At least one user for every TEO must have this role assigned to them (typically it will be the TEC ‘Lead Contact’).

Email notifications preferences:
Email notifications are sent automatically from the portal to alert the recipient that a data submission or document has been provisioned and the due date for action if applicable.

The types of data submission or document a user receives email notification about is determined by their email notification preference in their ‘User Settings’.

Notes:

  • TEOs should assign this role to Users as needed via the normal ESL process.

  • The DXP_USER_SETTINGS_ADMIN will be added to the ESL login of Lead Contacts. Lead Contacts will receive an email invitation from ESL to accept the new role.
