Five new DXP Ngā Kete roles will be available through the Education Sector Login (ESL) by 1 May 2024. They will be added to users' ESL profiles based on their existing access to Tertiary Education applications.

There will be no change to user access to existing TEC applications until late 2024 and early 2025 when users have transitioned to DXP Ngā Kete.

More information about the ESL is provided on the Ministry of Education website. Education Sector Logon | Applications & Online Systems

What are the changes and when do they start?

Users can start to use DXP Ngā Kete from 1 June 2024.

Go to DXP Ngā Kete to:

  • View, edit and submit 2025 Commitments Mix of Provision (MoPs) and EPICs
  • Access, view and upload all documents except fees free documents

Continue to go to STEO and Workspace2 for other data returns and for all fees free returns and documents until October 2024 – more information about this milestone transition will be provided closer to the date.

The new DXP Ngā Kete roles will be added to existing ESL profiles in May 2024. This provides time for users to log in and check their contact details before they begin to use DXP Ngā Kete from 1 June 2024.

For an overview of the new roles and user settings, see the webinar we held on 28 March 2024.

The new DXP Ngā Kete roles are:

DXP_USER_SETTINGS_ADMIN

This role allows the user to view and edit user settings for all users in a TEO including the user email notification preferences.

At least one user for every TEO must have this role assigned to them (typically it will be the TEC ‘Lead Contact’).

Email notifications preferences:

  • Email notifications are sent automatically from the portal to alert the recipient that a data submission or document has been provisioned and the due date for action if applicable.
  • The types of data submission or document a user receives email notification about is determined by their email notification preference in their ‘User Settings’.

DXP_GENERAL_ACCESS_USER

This role allows the user to access, view and submit or upload Data Submissions and Documents (excluding ‘Commercial Documents’).

DXP_FULL_ACCESS_READ_ONLY

This role allows the user to view all Data Submissions and all Documents (including Commercial Documents).

DXP_COMMERCIAL_DOCUMENTS_USER

This role allows the user to access and upload documents that have been classified as ‘commercially sensitive’ such as Funding Outcome and Funding Washup letters.

DXP_INFO_PRODUCTS_USER

This role allows the user to access information products.

Note: Users can have one or more of these roles.
