This is the first of two papers on the assessment panels, and focusses on panel chairing arrangements, membership criteria, panels composition, training, and guidance. The second panels paper will focus on the assessment criteria.
At its meeting on 17 June 2022, the SRG agreed proposals for changes. The consultation paper seeks sector feedback on those proposals. In addition, the consultation paper also sets out the TEC’s intended approach in a number of areas including adjustments to membership criteria, panels training and panel-specific guidelines in the context of the new PBRF Principles and the in-principle decisions. This information is provided for information and to support sector preparations, but comment on these approaches is also welcome.
The consultation period for this paper is 1 – 29 July 2022. Feedback may be submitted via the online survey.
The SRG is operating between September 2021 and the publication of the final Quality Evaluation 2025 Guidelines in June 2023. Information on the 2025 Quality Evaluation and the SRG is available on the TEC website.
