Applications for the Private Training Establishment (PTE) Strategic Fund are now open and will close on Friday 7 July 2023 to align with the Investment Round timeline. PTEs that are eligible for funding under the UFS are eligible to apply.
The PTE Strategic Fund uses an open, contestable process to select proposals that will enable the vocational education system to best serve the needs of learners, industry and communities as well as adapt to ongoing and future challenges.
Funding is through two elements of the strategic component – national and regional skills priorities (NRSP) and the programme development and maintenance fund (PDMF).
- National and Regional Skills Priorities (NRSP) funding supports PTEs to respond to national and regional skills priorities, informed by advice from the Workplace Development Councils (WDCs) and Regional Skills Leadership Groups (RSLGs).
- Programme Development and Maintenance Fund (PDMF) funding supports programme development and maintenance aligned with the Government’s Reform of Vocational Education (RoVE) objectives.
Indicative funding available for 2024 is $11.4 million for the NRSP fund and $8.4 million for PDMF.
