This would apply to TEOs providing Student Achievement Component (SAC) courses at New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) Level 3 or above and to domestic students only.

The Government considers that this proposed increase strikes a balance between protecting the affordability of tertiary education for students, while giving tertiary providers flexibility to help keep pace with costs in 2020.

Submissions close 7 August 2019. The Minister will then finalise the AMFM rate following consultation.
