Youth Guarantee changes to better support delivery from 2019
Youth Guarantee changes to better support delivery from 2019
We are changing expected learner workload for an equivalent full-time student (EFTS) for levels 1 and 2 Youth Guarantee qualifications from 2019.
We are changing expected learner workload for an equivalent full-time student (EFTS) for levels 1 and 2 Youth Guarantee qualifications from 2019.
This acknowledges that more Youth Guarantee learners have higher needs, and providers have higher costs, than five years ago.
From 2019 we will recognise 100 credits as a full-time, full-year workload (one EFTS) for learners enrolled in a level 1 or 2 Youth Guarantee qualification.
This change reduces the expected learner workload from 120 to 100 credits. It sets a more realistic workload for learners and acknowledges the extra support they need to be successful.
Youth Guarantee providers will receive a 20 percent boost in funding for delivery towards level 1 or 2 qualifications.
There are no changes to Youth Guarantee reporting requirements or to level 3 qualifications.
