Programmes under new TTAF target areas announced by TEC

Following the announcement of new target areas under the Targeted Training and Apprenticeships Fund (TTAF) in December, the TEC has released the list of additional programmes that will be covered under the Government’s free trades training programme.

The expanded TTAF target areas now include conservation and information technology. The scope of the community support target area was also widened.

See the full list of programmes included in the new target areas, at TTAF list of qualifications and programmes page.

New Year, new team, renewed focus on the mahi for Te Pūkenga

The operating model project team is ready to host an initial face-to-face wānanga with the co-design team. While there has been plenty of other work underway to finalise the framework for the operating model co-design process, the first wānanga will be a significant milestone in kicking off the transformation project.

There will be approximately 20 people in the co-design team, including people drawn from the original Mobilising the New World workstreams, ākonga/learners who have participated in our Ākonga at the Centre research, Te Tiriti partners and a range of employers and independent thinkers who we hope can challenge and extend the ideation process. The co-design team will be facilitated by specialist members of the co-design project team.
