Regional Skills Leadership Groups are busy preparing their first Regional Workforce Plans (RWPs) for the end of June, including engagement – much of it online due to COVID restrictions.

The Wellington and Tai Poutini West Coast Regional Skills Leadership Groups (RSLGs) are currently seeking public feedback on their draft plans. Consultation on the draft Wellington plan is now open and closes on 19 April. Submissions on the draft Tai Poutini West Coast Regional Workforce Plan open on 1 April and close on 29 April. The draft plans can be found on the Wellington and West Coast (from 1 April) RSLG pages.

RWPs have been developed with local communities and present a common view of labour and skills opportunities and issues to be addressed for regions to achieve their potential.

RSLGs are independent, locally based and regionally led. They are leading regional conversations on labour market needs and their advice and intel will inform education, welfare and immigration decisions.
