Brendon Green (Ngāti Hikairo, Waikato Tainui, Ngāpuhi) and Dr Te Ahukaramū Charles Royal (Ngāti Raukawa, Marutūahu and Ngāpuhi) have been reappointed to Taumata Aronui. Maru Nihoniho MNZM (Te Whānau ā Apanui, Ngāti Porou, Ngāi Tahu) is stepping down from the rōpū at the end of her term in December.

Taumata Aronui is a key part of the vocational educational reforms. They work in partnership with the Crown, providing independent recommendations and advice that will help to shape a vocational education system that is responsive to the needs of Māori learners, communities, and employers, and improves Māori learner and community outcomes. For more information please see the news item on our website.
