We’ve kicked off our Roadshow with the first session in Christchurch last week. Tertiary Education Commission's (the TEC’s) Chief Executive, Tim Fowler, and the senior management team will be out on the road again this week, presenting the future for the TEC.

It’s a great opportunity to get face-to-face with people we’ve worked closely with throughout the year and reflect on what the tertiary education sector has achieved for learners.

During the Roadshow we will be talking about the many opportunities and some of the challenges ahead in the tertiary sector. Not only will we be covering off the big strategic issues but we will provide practical guidance and tools for TEOs to use.

With the new Government formed and Chris Hipkins named as the Minister of Education along with three Associate Ministers (Jenny Salesa, Tracey Martin and Kelvin Davis), we are working closely with other agencies to implement the Government’s 100-day plan and what this means for the future of tertiary education in New Zealand.

Tertiary education organisations can attend a Roadshow in their area to hear about:

  • the TEC’s direction and priorities
  • the Investment Approach, including Plan Guidance and ensuring success for all New Zealanders in particular Māori and Pasifika
  • new and improved knowledge tools.

The Roadshow will be in Auckland and Rotorua this week.
