Modern Apprenticeships

Modern Apprenticeships is a work-based education initiative that combines the best of the apprenticeship tradition with a modern twist.

The Modern Apprenticeship programme combines the strength of the apprenticeship tradition with the latest thinking in workplace learning.

The programme makes it easy for employers to recruit and train talented young people and provides an opportunity for young people to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

How do I get started with Modern Apprenticeships?

You need to get in touch with a Modern Apprenticeship Co-ordinator.

How do I confirm completion of my apprenticehip?

Fill in the request form (Word doc, 62 Kb) and send it with a photocopy of your identification to servicecentre@tec.govt.nz, or

We will search the Register of Apprentices on your behalf.

Details of apprenticeships completed after 1993 may be held by the respective industry training organisation.
