Welcome to our refreshed website!

After talking with a wide range of tertiary education organisations (TEOs) and listening to your requirements, we’ve created a refreshed website that works the way you want it to.

It’s designed to be easier to use, is refocused on TEOs as the primary audience, has an improved search, updated content and a new modern design.

Our refreshed site includes:

  • a streamlined intuitive structure that makes it easier to find your way around
  • simplified, updated content with ‘hover over’ definitions to explain technical terms
  • improved search and advanced search with filters
  • a fresh new design that aligns to our brand
  • more information about us, our people and how we work
  • dual language (English and te reo Māori)
  • more images.

We have rewritten nearly all the content in plain English, so it is easier to understand. We will continue to rewrite and update further content over the next few months.

Our front page carousel promotes our news stories. We will have new stories every week about our initiatives, TEOs and the tertiary sector. If you have an idea for a news story send it to news@tec.govt.nz.

We’ve also improved how we label our content and introduced menus that allow you to navigate anywhere within the site from any page.

We know how important the fund content is to TEOs and we’re working on a new design for our fund finder and fund pages. We hope these improvements will be available to you in 2017.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be testing and improving our website’s mobile experience. Let us know if you spot anything we need to know.

We welcome any feedback you have about our refreshed website. You can send us your feedback by clicking on our feedback form which you’ll find at the bottom of every page.

The launch of our refreshed site also coincides with the launch of our new online tools: a secure portal (Ngā Kete) and an information product library.

We know we’ve made some big changes, so take some time to look around and get acquainted with the new set-up.

We hope you find our website much easier to use and more helpful in supporting you to do your job.
