Consultation on increase of AMFM rate for 2018
The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment is proposing an Annual Maximum Fee Movement (AMFM) rate of 2% for tertiary education organisations (TEOs) for 2018.
The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment is proposing an Annual Maximum Fee Movement (AMFM) rate of 2% for tertiary education organisations (TEOs) for 2018.
This would apply to TEOs providing courses at NZQF Level 3 or above and to domestic students only.
The Government considers that this proposed increase strikes a balance between allowing tertiary providers to keep pace with costs in 2018, while avoiding significant fee increases for domestic students.
Submissions close 22 June 2017. The Minister will then finalise the AMFM rate following consultation.
