Consultation: Changing to cohort-based completion and retention rates for industry training

This consultation sought feedback on proposed changes to some of the performance measures for industry training. We would like to change the way we measure completions and implement an apprentice retention rate. These changes apply to industry training organisations (ITOs) only.

Consultation: Changing to cohort-based qualification completion and retention rates

This consultation sought feedback on proposed changes to the methodologies for calculating two of the EPIs – the qualification completion rate and the retention rate. These changes apply to tertiary education organisations (TEOs) that receive Student Achievement Component (SAC) or Youth Guarantee (YG) funding. We are also working with ITOs to address similar issues.

This consultation sought feedback on proposed changes to how we invest with PTEs, schools and community education providers. These are:

  • making small and medium-sized PTEs, schools and community education providers exempt from the requirement to submit a Plan from 2016
  • simplifying Plan processes for those still required to submit a Plan.
